Monday, December 30, 2002New site, new locationOkay, The Daily Column has a new home. It was a big job moving it all, and there may still be some bugs (if so, please let me know), but I think it's pretty much all set. As you can see, there's a new layout. I've also added Discussion Forums and Real-time Chat. As always, please be respectful when using either. (Oh yeah, you must register to use either and you'll have to login each time to use them.) The domain name "thedailycolumn.com" has not yet transferred to this new location, so for the next day or so, the best way to get here is to go to the old site and it will redirect you automatically. In a day or so, the redirection will no longer be needed. This website hosting company has much faster servers than the old place, so you shouldn't have to wait forever to move around. Enjoy the new site! British newspaper The Sunday Express is reporting that the war against Iraq will begin on February 21 at midnight. Hmm. Here's the promo poster. Cinncinatti's Riverfront Stadium was imploded yesterday. I hate spam more than anyone, but there is one kind that I do like. Yes, that's right, I actually like Hormel's SPAM luncheon meat. And the Hormel folks just got a new promo vehicle: The "SPAM Mobile" This is useless, but fun. And this is useful and fun. WPIX televised the yule log on Christmas Day and it got big ratings. Like seeing cars stuck in the mud? Here you go... Cool: Virtual Paper Football. This is fun too. (Yeah, yeah, I know. It's a sniper game. But the key word is game.) Announcing the 2003 "Holy Roller Beauty Pageant." Here are the last three years' winners. |
