I have a favor to ask you guys ..If you are going to buy a new car , PLEASE dont ever buy a car from Barbarino Pontiac/ Nissan in Wallingford Ever !

We went out 2 days ago to buy a car because as you all remember I totaled my wife's about 4 months ago in a bad accident. Well we started out at Barbarino because this is where I bought my car from and we had a great experience the last time , well that was last time .

We get there and are looking at a 2005 Nissan Quest with a bunch of options for 25K. We go inside which is death because you know you are going to be in there for hours to talk with our salesman . Right away the CLOSER ( the slick talker who is above the salesman) comes over and tells my wife " here are the keys . take the car home and think about it " . I was like " There is no way that you are leaving here with this car and we havent even worked out a price yet or anything" So I started to deal and I must have asked what the van is gonna cost me and what are the finance charges ..ect,ect 10 times during the conversation and I could not get a straight answer out of anyone . Now I have to pick my daughter up because we have been there for 2 hours now so I tell the guy I have to leave to get my daughter but If he could work the numbers and call me with them before I come back up ..Fine he says .

That night and yesterday morning I get no cal so I decide to call him . He asks me where I want to be so I tell him Im going to put 7 000 down and I want to finace no more than 20K and I want my payment to be about 400 , no higher and I want to know this before I come all the way up there because If this is something he cant do there is no sense in continuing..He says it is no problem he will get us where we need to be .

So me & the wife get there , take the van for a second test drive and sit down to make the deal . Immeadiatly the Slick talker comes over and starts the paperwork without even discussing anything . I ask him what the price is and this is the exchnage..

Me : So whats the price and the payments ?

Him : The amount financed is 24000 and the payments are 590 a month

Me : I told you on the phone what I wanted and you told me you could get me where I needed to be

Him : I didnt tell you that , your salesman told you that .

Me: Well what's the breakdown because that doesnt seem right considering Im giving you 7000 dollars and the car is only 24000 to begin with , how am I financing 24000 still ?

Him : The car is 28000

Me : The sticker says 24000

Him : Ill check ( he leaves and comes back and says) Ok , your right the sticker is 24000 but there is 7000 in tax title and registration fees so we are back where we belong

Me : Deanna , get your purse..I got up and walked right out !

They went up 4000 in one day then tried to tell me that my payments on a 24000 with 7000 down were going to be 600 a month and the Tax Title and Registration was an additional 7000...Take a shit Barbarino .

So please dont ever give this shithole your buisness because they are crooks !
