Hoot's Thursday Things

Well hello there. How is everyone?

I am still waiting for your response to who is supposed to remember from last Friday Richie!

I was going to let this slide but I decided to put my two cents in. For the non sports fans you can just skip ahead to the links cause I am sure this will bore you.

I am sure most of you have heard all about the whole Terrell Owens trying to commit suicide/adverse reaction to his pain pills scenario. First off, like Richie, I am a diehard Cowboys fan.(fuck all of you who hate em because I could gives two craps less that you don't like em) Anywho. When the Boys signed T.O. in the off season I really was not that thrilled about him being on the team. Yes the thought of how great a player he has been and what he can bring to the team is nice but I can't stand the guy. Never have. I respect his abilities on the field and that is about it.

This brings me to this whole crazy scenario. Most likely we will never know if this was a disturbed human being really looking to end his life, a publicity stunt to gather more focus on him as the attention whore he is or if he really had a bad reaction to the pills. From the news conference he had yesterday I would say and believe it is the latter.

What cracks me up is how everybody loves to believe the first thing they hear or read or see about events in life. I am guilty of it myself sometimes but reading the forums about this made me think more on the topic of it. A majority of people out there in this world go on the first info they have and make up their minds as to what their opinion is on it. Whether you researched your opinion or go by what you have heard and just believe someone who is doing a job by reporting on what they have heard or been told it seems lots of people are then their own authority on that subject. I sort of wonder why? Could the info you are hearing be wrong? The information the media feeds us has been wrong before and will again. Remember it is the media who loves to hype up every fucking thing into a huge story. Look at the guy that they got that supposedly killed Jon-Benet. Ooops his DNA didn't match. The media are the whores in all of this. Until all the facts actually come out, and sometimes they never do, there ia always a possibilty that wrong information was reported. Sort of like the saying "innocent until proven guilty." Too many of us human beings do this and I think that is a big part of what is wrong with this world today. Now I am not saying that you can't form your own opinions but at least try to find out as much info as you can before you cement them in stone.

Enough of the jibber jabber. To the links we go..............

Anyone see the water spout out in Long Island Sound yesterday?
Mid-mornign udpate to this> Richie posted the link to the video of this in the forum so I figured I would add it here: Water spout in LI Sound video.

Transform any of your portable storage devices into your secure, personal computer. Get your MojoPac on!

A good friend of mine and Richies' saves a horse. Well sort of!!!

Nice shot. Watch the suspects hand with the gun in it.

This is fucked. This happened in 2003 but certain people kept it under wraps until this guy decide to get the info out. A dramatic home video obtained by ABC News shows U.S. troops apparently abandoned a truck convoy after it came under insurgent attack in Iraq last year. And guess who the trucking company was. Of course it was Haliburton. Hmmm I think I have heard some of our fearless government leaders are in their pockets haven't I??

"Papers, please!"

This mantra of totalitarian societies has become familiar to Americans – not from movies, but from their own government. From police encounters to airport security, from political protests to public buses, your right to move around freely without "accounting for yourself" is increasingly challenged.

The Identity Project (IDP) exists to uphold the freedom to exist, wander, and live anonymously within our own country if we so choose. We believe all Americans have the fundamental right to exist without seeking or getting permission of the government, to live without constantly proving who we are or why we are here, to freely move around our country. IDP explores and defends these rights.

IDP questions the motives behind, and effectiveness of, identity based domestic security programs and asks whether the degradation of our civil liberties is justified.

This is scary news! Screech in a home sex tape.

DNA from the Beginning. An animated primer on the basics of DNA, genes, and heredity.

Ever wonder how our great Homeland Security Department came up with the system to let the general public know how close they are to dying?? Here is the video of the moronic dweeb they hired to come up with the Homeland Security Advisory system. I love how this country wastes money sometimes. Listen to this all the way through. I can't believe some of the shit he says! The part about how the colors should correspond to the skin color that the given terrorist may be on a given day??? What? No wonder the world hates our government and its policies.

Well now, look what we have here. President Bush was behind Hurricane Katrina and global warming. The Bush administration has blocked release of a report that suggests global warming is contributing to the frequency and strength of hurricanes. He is hiding something!

And to keep Laz happy. Or any others who love tha porn.

I gotta go to Brazil!

Nice. Girls hunting girls!!

Ever been to a party like this???

This chick is nice n vocal!

Bye for now!!! Peace! Hoot23
