My Shopping experience part 1

Here is my 1st holiday shopping story of the year , Im surprised it came so early in the season :

We like to get the kids 1 big thing then a bunch of little things for Xmas , We are getting my son a Quad with a helmet and the works . We were going to get my daughter a laptop but my wife decided against because she is only 7 so we were racking our brain to try and figure something to get her for her big present .

It seems she really wanted the Fur Real Butterscotch Pony thing so thats what we decided on . We were at costco on friday night and they had 1 left , because I guess these things are selling out everywhere, But I couldnt buy it bwecause I had the kids with me so I left the store , dropped my family off and headed back to costco to buy the pony . When I got there ....no pony . So the front desk told me to call in the morning to see if they get more , meanwhile I went to Toys R Us and Target looking for this thing and they were all sold out too .

My wife calls in the morning and they said they got two in and they would put one aside for me . I jump out of bed and head right up there , go up to the counter and they say they didnt know anything about it . So now im pissed and have to hurry back into the store to find where these 2 things are , As Im walking towards the toy section I see them on a push cart at the end of one of the aisles and there is a man taking one as I am walking up . As soon as I get to the other one , this lady walks right in front of me and kinda puts her hand on the last one . I asked her " Are you going to take that because I want it ?" ., She replied " I think so , I just have to call my husband to make sure " . Now Im pissed because I missed getting it and im not about to walk away and then this dumbass lady decides she doesnt want it and I leave . So I stay kinda out of her sight but have my eye on the box waiting for her to make a decision . I see her calling her husband and trying to get reception and talk to him , all of a sudden I hear her say " Hold on I cant hear you , let me walk over here in this aisle " .

Well that's my move , As soon as she walks into the aisle to talk to her husband I walk right up and grab the box and pop it in my carriage like I didnt know she was still there . She didnt know that I knew that she was still there but I played it off good . So I start walking away and she starts yelling about how this is her box and how she was just using the phone and I knew it . But all's fair in love & shopping and she shouldnt have left something that everyone else wanted alone and walked away , I know I wouldnt have .....SUCKER !

Sure Im a prick , And I love it !

I had a great time in New York City last Saturday seeing Spearhead at Webster Hall. What a great fucking show. The place was packed but there was still room to bounce around. It was a long and expensive night but it was worth it. It is so much fun going into the city every so often. Again Spearhead puts on such a great live show if you ever get the chance check them out.

On another note about the football picks topic we have going in the forums. Richie is so mad that I am ahead of him by 5 games right now after ten weeks in the season. I love it. Humpday Happenings

My grandmother just recently got put into an old folks home because the constant care she needed was too much for our family to keep up with on a hour by hour basis , So we figured the best way for her to get the care she needs and for her safety that she would go into a home . Now it's a very nice place with a very nice staff and all but this is the 1st time I ever experienced anything like this .

I had off last night and decided to go and pay her a visit by myself . When you walk in and listen to the sounds in the hall , The comedy value in this place is through the roof but then you get kinda sad because some of these people really have no idea what they are talking about . One lady was sitting in a wheelchair at the front door staring out and when I walked in she asked me " Is your father going to sell my dog because it went poop on the rug ? " . I just told her no he wasnt because I knew dementia was setting in and figured just play along and everything would be ok .

My grandmother also has a slight case of dementia and thought she ran away from home and took the bus to this "hotel" and now she wants to go home . she made me call my mother (her daughter) and tell her we were at the mall and I ran into my grandmother and she wants my mom to come pick her up .

It made me kinda sad that my grandmother was falling apart so quickly and I will be back to visit her at least twice a week but like I said this place is a comedians dream

Remember when you were a kid and you used to go out after school and had to be called to come in , You would play outside until the last possible second then come in to sleep . And what did you do when you woke up...you got dressed , ate and played outside again to finish what yiou started the night before until the school bus picked you up to go to school . Those were the days and it's this that brings me to this subject that I was discussing with a lady last night at the bar : Peanut Allergies .

I can't wait for next Tuesday to come. Now it is not because I can't wait to vote, which I will be participating in as I hope most all of the registered voters in this country will also do. No I can't wait for Tuesday to come so I don't have to hear anymore of those goddamn fucking smear ads for the politicians campaigns. Arrrggh those things drive me freakin crazy. Now I understand they need to have them to present thier political views but to me all they do is bash the other candidate. The thing I get out of every commercial is that no matter who you vote for you are voting for a scumbag one way or another. Can't these politicians just present what they stand for and what they will try and do if they get elected. I thought I recall a few years back someone passing a rule about not smearing the other candidate in the political ads. I guess that went out the window with a shitload of other things.

Remember to get out and vote on Tuesday though.
